Team G6
I can't believe there are only two weeks left! I am in rut and need to get motivated! Looking forward to a great last two week! The G6 rocks!
The G 6
Definitely feeling tired, last week was tough with the kids off school. Fingers crossed I can get back into it this week and loose a few more pounds.
Team G6
Week 7 already! I will miss week 8 as that is our annual ski trip so I would like to say that I have very much enjoyed my team and team training this year! Shout out to Team G6 and Kristen! And ladies let's wear our team training shirts on Wed. For a picture!

Back in the saddle - I hope!
So last week was fairly disastrous...had to miss a TT to attend a workshop and then somehow work got in the way of making it to the gym...and then did I say how the Girl Scout cookies magically appeared in my house and have magically disappeared into my belly? Sigh. This week I promise to be better (although starting tomorrow since I ate a handful of See's chocolates after work today - just one of those days). Can't believe there are only four more sessions left...I have to say that despite this not-so-good week, overall I have done a better job eating well and have tried to workout more and I do see results - more than I remember in the past three years doing TT...thanks Kristin and FFY!

Time to Step It Up
I can't believe we only have two weeks left...my team (NME) and Kristin have been so amazing...however I feel like I need to kick things up a big notch the next two weeks.
Sometimes life gets crazy
I have been disappointed that I have missed the last two training sessions and will be missing the next one. I believe life should return back to normal this week. See OMG its 6 on Thursday.

Pushing through
Hello fellow FFY friends!
Admit it, the fatigue is setting in. Shuffling schedules to try new classes, squeezing in that extra 30 minute workout for maximum points, and (the hardest part for me) staying off the junk and eating healthy??? This week's school vacation didn't help either. So while part of me is counting down the days to the big finish, I'm also a bit fearful of the inevitable "now what???" We've all made real changes that are paying off. Lord knows I'm not looking to start that process all over again.
So I started to think about what kind of things I can put in place to help keep me on the righteous path. Here are three things I am hoping will help.
1. Road races - Teammate Amy convinced me to sign up for the Wild Rover Series. Three races held on consecutive Sundays in MARCH!!! That's right people, through the cold, snowy streets where most people will be either inside or, in some kind of vehicle, protected from the elements. The good news is we get beer in one of those warm, inside places when we are done. There's also a 3 mile/10k walk/run race called the Tortoise and the Hare in Salisbury in early April. Check 'em out!
2. Bathing suit shopping - Nothing like a good old trip to the swimsuit store for a little reality check. First, there's the "squeezing into the size that I am sure I should be but am not" part. Then, the realization that the suit I am trying is the size I wore in high school about 5,000 years ago :( Finally, the blinding white skin poking out in all sorts of places it shouldn't be seals the deal. The only thing from keeping me from downing a pint of Ben and Jerry's is knowing that I still have time before summer is actually here. Now is no time to be slacking off. Onward ho!
3. Group fitness - Even when the official Team Training session is over I am hopeful our team will keep our Monday/Friday workouts with Kristin. Knowing we are all committed to showing up makes all the difference on those days when I could either A. Go to team training or B. Stay in my pj's, drink a pot of coffee and work until the kids come home; at which time I have lost all opportunity to get out and burn off some stress. The Group Fitness classes do the same thing for me. I love the regular schedule I've got planned out each week. Makes it a no-brainer to just get up and go.
With that I wish you all good luck during these last couple of weeks. What do you all have planned for life after Team Training? Please share :)

Making time for workouts...
With a crazy work schedule this week and the kids out of school, I had a long list of excuses this morning on why I wouldn't be able to fit in my workout. But luckily, still lingering in my head were conversations with my teammates on The G6 yesterday about how they were making it work even with the school break.
So I'm back from a great BodyStep workout and feeling good about putting my excuses aside.

Week 5
This week felt like a turning point. Really noticing the difference in workouts with Kristin and the team and on my own. Outstanding one hour spin class Saturday morning. Sleeping and eating better, more energy and more motivated - feeling better than I have in months.
Being good on business trip
Off to Tel Aviv this week for work. Have my music mix from Kristen so will try best to work out often to help district 6 but more importantly to help myself on this very hectic business trip. Exercise helps so much to get through everything. Have a good week.

Palm Desert
Just found out I get to hijack my husband's trip to Palm Desert in the end of March. So good to have something to look forward to, and it's nice to have a goal...5 pounds by departure?
best wishes for speedy recovery
Here's hoping Lynn's little boy is feeling better. Thinking of you and your family!

Stronger!!
Thanks to team training and especially Kristin for your hard work and helping me feel stronger in body and mind! :) love it!
Good Luck Danielle
Took Danielle's last step class on Sunday. Great calorie burn....I'm going to miss her!
Feeling better
After four weeks, feeling so much better and motivated to keep it going. Blizzard workout was a great change of pace. Nice to get outside and actually sweat in the middle of February. Here's to another great week!

Thanks for today's bonus class!
With FFY closed yesterday because of the blizzard, I was so happy to get out of the house and move! But it was bittersweet since it was Danielle's last class before she moves - she will be sorely missed!
On another note, I had really been dedicated to eating more sensibly during Team Training, but I fell off the healthy-eating wagon this past week which culminated tonight in Chinese take-out (how could I resist? I hosted 40 of my students for a Chinese supper and a movie to celebrate the Lunar New Year and the fact that it's our long weekend). Oh well, tomorrow is a new day so I need to recommit. Thanks to TT it makes it easier to be more disciplined!

Shorts
So I was trying on shorts, packing for my upcoming trip, when I noticed that everything didn't just fit. It's all a little big!!!

Shoveling!!
That was tougher than any class. Every muscle in my body aches. Are you sure it only counts as 1 workout.
HIIS Shovelling!!
HIIS Shoveling...Her Shoveling!!! Whatever you want to call it I am taking my bonus points to the hot tub!! My husband had to go to Philly on Friday..and is "hoping" to be home by Sunday! Which means you guessed it! I am doing all the shoveling! So whether I shovel it all via the HIIS method or the old fashioned way, it is still a ton of work and a great workout! I could hear Survivor playing the Rocky Theme Song in the back the whole time!!!
Way to go Distict 6
Awesome job this week, 1st place!!! All hard work pays off! Feeling yesterday's workout, good sore! Enjoy the snow!!!
Holy Hamstrings!
What up fitness friends? Hunkered down by the fire with the fam, suffering in hamstring misery (thanks to Kristin's latest form of torture "Tabata Spin") and reflecting back on this week's Team Training. We are half way there and everyone is clearly in the zone. Lots of hard work, focus and dedication to achieve our goals.
I thought a little humor might help us push through to the finish line. Here are some of my favorite finds this week. I hope you enjoy them too.
1. Bradley Cooper Sloth:
Who couldn't love an adorable, french speaking actor resembling one of the mellowest creatures on the planet?

2. What's Up With That?
This is rapidly becoming one of my favorite SNL bits. Is there a better response to seeing something perplexing?

3. This little guy made me smile.

With that I leave you to your shoveling and snuggling and any other "uggling" you can think of.
See you at the gym!

The G 6
Almost able to do a push-up, I'm definitely starting to feel stronger. See you all tomorrow.
Looking forward to tomorrow
Loving team training and looking forward to Weds class. I kinda hated today and want to take out some aggression in class. Kristin, can we do some boxing tomorrow? Or just any form of punching is fine.

ME? a morning person? Now I am with TT!
I can't believe I actually hauled myself out of bed for Lisa's 5:30 am class this morning. That is an obscene hour. But because of Team Training there I was! Can't believe this is already week four! And while the needle hasn't changed on the scale, I feel stronger, more fit and feel like I am seeing some new definition in my arms - yay!
Took one for the team.
Yes omg it's 6 I took one for the team an stayed alcohol free got the week.
Will miss you gals tomorrow see you on Thursday.

Saturday morning, and District 6 was at the gym!
Trying hard to get enough points this week as a team, to get back up to the top spot. 4 out of 6 of District 6 was in this mornings spin class. Way to keep the momentum going ladies:) See you on Monday morning!

Group Classes
Anyone who can suggest a good group class that's light impact and still a good workout? Have some knee problems and want to take it easy.
Off for week
Sunshine, here I come! Even though I will be on vacation, I will be good and get to the resort's gym facility. Need to keep up the work I am doing w/ Charlene!! I know she and my trusty teammate will muscle on without me next week. See you when I get back!

District 6
Great workout this morning! This weekend will be a BIG challenge with no alcohol on Superbowl Sunday, but we can do it!!!
Wise Words
Week 3 has taken on some serious momentum. The competition is fierce. It seems we are willing to do whatever it takes to win. I've seen everything this week from back-to-back classes and impromptu Ab Ripper sessions to Moms taking the evening bonus class with pajama'd kids in tow (which was totally worth it because we got to nap at the end). And while I am loving the excitement and the results from the hard work of the week, I have to admit I'm a bit tired. Let's face it... these old bones ain't what they used to be. So I decided to tap into the never ending cyclone of energy in our household. My kids.
Sure enough, they didn't disappoint. When asked what advice they would give to District 6 to stay motivated they each said the following.
"Try your best and remember, the only way to win is to have fun."
- Max Hoffman : ) <3 (full disclosure: smiley face and heart were required by Max as part of his signature)
"Try your best and make sure you have a lot of confidence when you do it."
- Charles Hoffman
So there it is folks. Emphasis on trying our best, having confidence and fun. I think that will get me through. And when the momentum wains, I'm sure there will be plenty of wisdom and guidance from my boys to help me push through.
What words of wisdom and motivation do your children have for you???
